About the CA-278nd Unarmed Drill Team

The Unarmed Drill Team is a competitive AFJROTC team that values discipline, teamwork, accountability, and—above all—effort. The more you put in, the more rewarding your experience becomes.

Beyond basic marching, the team performs creative, student-designed drill routines at competitions. Every routine is developed entirely by cadets, encouraging creativity, precision, and leadership. Members have the opportunity to take charge, lead practices, and help one another improve—making Drill Team an excellent place to build leadership skills and confidence.

Our competition team is made up of dedicated, hard-working cadets who represent the best of our program. The team has earned recognition and awards at multiple events, showcasing the cadets’ skill, discipline, and teamwork.

Drill Team members also enjoy unique perks. Cadets can customize their uniforms for competitions with items like berets, gloves, and alternate pants to stand out. At the end of the year, participants earn a competition ribbon in recognition of their commitment and performance.

All we look for is the right attitude—if you’re willing to try, we’re more than happy to have you. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your college applications, stand out in JROTC, or work toward an ROTC scholarship, the Unarmed Drill Team is the perfect place to start.
